BOXCAD was developed and used internally by EXM before it was made available to the public in 2005. It is used to facilitate the design of custom electrical boxes. Before the BOXCAD era, a box drawn by our customers would have to be drawn a second time according to our manufacturing standards. This process doubled the efforts required. Also, it greatly increases the risk of errors due to misinterpretations. This is why EXM innovated by offering a userfriendly platform that allows customers to directly configure a custom electrical enclosure, whether or not that person has knowledge of CAD software. BOXCAD allows modifying electrical enclosures while respecting the rules required for approvals (UL and CSA).
